PINE BLUFF -- Paul Glenn McKelvey, 79 of Pine Bluff died Tuesday at Jefferson Regional Medical Center in Pine Bluff.
Born at Paragould, he graduated from Paragould High School in 1939.  he also attended Kemper Military Academy and served in the Army during World War II, attaining the rank of captain.  After more than 40 years in civil service, he retired as a postal inspector following 20 years of service in that position.  A member of Immanuel Baptist Church, he was active in Kairos Prison Ministry and was a Mason.
Survivors include his wife, Marilyn Scallion Johnston McKelvey; a son; a daughter; and two grandchildren.  he was preceded in death by a son and a sister.
A graveside service will begin at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Linwood Cemetery in Paragould with the Rev. John Brock officiating.  Arrangements are by Charles E. Fuller Funeral Co. of Pine Bluff.
Visitation will be from 7 until 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to Immanuel Baptist Church TV65, 1801 West 17th Ave., Pine Pluff 71603, or to Kairos Prison Ministry in care of the church.
