Josephine "Jo" Wright/Mofield of Tulare passed away Friday, Sept. 30, 2005, at Merritt Manor in Tulare. She was 89 years old. She was born on June 25, 1916, in Paragould, Arkansas. She and her first husband and family moved to Lemoore in 1946. After the death of her first husband, she remarried in 1975 to Lonnie Mofield and moved to Tulare. She was a nurse for 15 years.
Mrs. Mofield was preceded in death by her first husband, Granvil E. Wright in 1957; her daughter, Peggy Wright in 1952; her daughter, Terri Wright in 1957; her daughter, Carmen Day in 1998; her grandson, Max Jacquez in 1976; her granddaughter, Angelica Jacquez in 1990; her parents, Hervey N. and Fannie H. McKelvey; and several sisters.
Survivors include her husband, Lonnie B. Mofield of Tulare; two children; three stepsons; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
Services will be 11 a.m. Friday at Peers Lorentzen Funeral Chapel, with burial at Lemoore District Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Josephine Mofield's name to Optimal Hospice Care, 5429 Avenida De Los Robles, Suite D, Visalia, CA 93277.
