Dr. McKelveyDr. Earle D. McKelvey
Dr. Earle D. McKelvey, 84, Clarksville, formerly of Paragould, died Saturday in Clarkesville Nursing home.  He was a former Paragould physician, retiring in 1977, was past president of the Paragould Rotary Club and at one time was in the Civilian Construction Corps (CCC).  He was preceded in death by his wife, Virginia Pauline Williams McKelvey.
Surviving are two sons, William Gelbert McKelvey of Knoxville, Tenn., and Dr. Richard Earle McKelvey, Clarkesville; one sister, Mrs. Helen Rogers of Pontiac, Mich.; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be help this afternoon at 1:30 in the First United Methodist Church in Paragould with Wayman Hollis officiating.  Burial will be in Linwood Cemetery under the direction of Mitchell Funeral Home of Paragould.
Active pallbearers will be Joe Wessell, Glen Wade, Dr. George Haynes, Tommy Kirk, Bill Blackshear, Louis Schaff, Charles Pickney, Russell Waldrum, Jimmy Dale Hamilton.
Members of the Medical Staff of Arkansas Methodist Hospital will serve as honorary pallbearers.
