Mrs. McKelvey
Mrs. Opal Irma McKelvey, 74, of Paragould, died Saturday at Methodist Hospital of Jonesboro. She was a retired nurse and a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church. She was the widow of Thomas R. McKelvey.
Survivors include two daughters; one brother, Rev John Ed Collier of Jonesboro; three sisters, Gerry Janett and Helen Phillips, both of Paragould and Freda Ford of Memphis, Tenn.; four grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Services will be Tuesday afternoon at 2 at Emmanuel Baptist Church in Paragould with Rev. Raymond Laremore and Floyd Ryles officiating. Burial will follow in Linwood Cemetery under the direction of heath Funeral Home of Paragould.
Pallbearers will be Dr. George Collier, Dr. Jon Collier, Jerry Lynn Harmon, Eddie Harmon, Mark Jarrett, and Larry Coffman.
The body will lie in state at the funeral home after 5 this afternoon.
The family has requested persons wishing to leave a lasting memorial consider the Leukemia Society.
